"I love this. Classy!"

Jonathan L, Alternative DJ and International Radio Personality 2017, Lopsided World of L

"Unlikely, but really fascinating... And don't you think she's got Marianne Faithful, Lotte Lenya, Marlene Dietrich all wrapped up there in that voice."

Max Reinhardt, BBC Radio 3's Late Junction, on 'The Fairies' Siege'

"...a black diamond...  Suzanna van Moyland's CD features Roman Gomez’s lush instrumentation providing a swelling bed for haunting lyrics, delivered like a smoky warning. The recording sounds live, which lends to the intimacy of van Moyland’s confessions.

I love hearing an original voice that seems to evoke masters like Bowie, Nico, Leonard Cohen, Dietrich, and Nina Simone, as well as eerie folk poets like Ed Askew and Sibylle Baier. These compositions serve as torch songs for the new millennium, harkening to history, and burning bright across long distances."

Jenny Inzerillo, High Plains Public Radio (NPR)

Vocalist, songwriter and producer Suzanna van Moyland is genre-defiant.  Her music is somewhere between classical and rock, chanson and the avant-garde.  Her lyrics are poems, true stories and mini-epics with elements of noir, sci-fi and magical realism.

This is story through song, relayed in an unusually low voice, with slivers of the spoken word, and with Argentinian pianist, Roman Gomez, on grand piano.
